If you decide to commit to Spotify, then there are a variety of reasonably-priced, paid-for options available for both individual use and family memberships. At the most basic level, like so many software applications, the free version is Ad supported while the Premium version is not.
There is, however, a difference between the free version of Spotify and the paid-for Premium version. With no need for upfront payment, using the Spotify web player or Spotify download allows you to test the suitability of the service for yourself, without even entering your credit card details. All you need is an email address or a Facebook account. Bolstering this is access to both podcasts and videos. One of Spotify’s most alluring characteristics is that you can access it immediately, and for free.
